Michigan Outline
I chose to take most of my photos downtown. This particular photo was taken at the Michigan Theater. While taking these photos I tried to include the intense colors and the detail of the building behind the large “Michigan” sign. The idea of this photo is to invoke good emotions in people who live in Ann Arbor. For these people I’m trying to convey the feeling of home and comfort.

The Chip
I chose to take some of my pictures at the chip. The chip is a building downtown which moderately resembles a chip, which is how it got that name. When I took these photos I tried to include the interesting texture of the building, and the moss that hangs around the staircase on one side of it. I also included the windowed walls of the building behind the chip. I am trying to convey the feeling of cleanness and joy because it looks bright and happy.

Law School
I chose to take some of my pictures at the Michigan Law School. I took the pictures specifically of the windows and the tallest part in the very front when you walk in. I tried to capture the texture and detail of the building. The texture and detail are old and complex. I’m trying to bring back memories and have people think about the amount of events and special moments that have taken place there throughout its years.

Bell Tower
The Clock

Blue Tower
I took some of my architecture photos at the bell tower downtown. The sky around it really brought out the color and gave a good background to the image. When I took these photos I tried to include the texture and detail, especially of the clock at the top of the tower. These photos represent the amount of time we have in life. You can take it as a lot of time to do many great things. You could also take it as we don’t have much time in life, and you should as many things done as possible in the time you have.

Parking Garage
I also took photos at a parking garage downtown. I really liked the unique detail and outside texture of it. I also like how the walls weren’t the same texture, color, or style. I tried to include these features while taking these photos. Parking garages aren’t usually the nicest places or interesting in any way, so I was trying to portray them in a better light. The idea was to make them seem less gloomy and more happy.
